Committees

There are many ways for business owners, parents, and community members to get involved with Friends of Skate Camp. We have several committees that help plan fundraising events and activities, and each committee is led by a dedicated chair. Whether you have expertise in marketing, event planning, or fundraising, there's a committee that could use your skills. Check out the brief descriptions of each committee and reach out to the committee chair to get involved. Volunteering with Friends of Skate Camp is a great way to support the organization and help provide outdoor programming to youth and families.

MERCHANDISE TEAM

The Friends of Skate Camp merchandise team is responsible for creating, selling and shipping items that support the organization's mission. Their products currently include t-shirts and stickers and hope to add other merchandise that celebrate the rich history of Skate Camp and promote outdoor programming for youth and families. The merchandise team is always looking for creative and talented volunteers who can help design new products or assist with sales at events and online. If this fits your passions consider joining the merchandise team. Co-Chairs: Jordan Carr and Renee Newsome.

Events

ANNUAL BOWL BASH

The Bowl Bash committee is responsible for planning and organizing the annual Bowl Bash, a celebration held every September at the Broken Bottle Bowl in Arroyo Grande, California. The event was created by Adam Montoya and Mark Niggle to celebrate the completion of the Broken Bottle Bowl and their September birthdays. The Bowl Bash has become a popular event that brings together the skateboarding community to enjoy music, food, and of course, skating. The committee is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can help with event planning, sponsorship, and outreach. Co-Chairs: Mark Niggle and TBD
