Who We Are

In 2022, the Friends of Skate Camp was founded to support the YMCA Camp Sequoia LakeSkate CampandFamily Skate Camp. As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we strive to provide funding for the Skate Camp programs through merchandise and auction sales, grants and contributions, and scholarships for campers. Our mission is to restore and maintain Skate Camp facilities and grounds throughout the property on Sequoia Lake, and to provide materials and supplies for the Skate Camp staff during the Summer season. We are committed to being responsible stewards of the community's donations and to ensuring that Skate Camp has a diverse revenue stream. All income, less small administrative costs, goes directly to the Skate Camp's programs.

What We Do

FOSC and our generous donors fund materials, capital improvements, and ongoing maintenance for various areas of YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake's Skate Camp, including:

  • 6 Skate Areas
  • 18 Camper & Staff Cabins
  • The Bathrooms & Various Other Buildings and Areas
  • Landscaping
  • And so much more!

How You Can Help

There are many ways to support Friends of Skate Camp and the YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake's Skate Camp. You can donate directly through our Go Fund Me page, purchase items from the Amazon Wish List that will go directly to camp, buy merchandise, or bid on items in future auctions. You can also sponsor a kid and give them the opportunity to attend Skate Camp. If you're interested in being more involved, you can join a committee and help plan fundraising events and activities. Every little bit helps to preserve the rich history of Skate Camp and to provide outdoor programming to youth and families.
